He is best known for his roles in Guy Ritchie gangster movies Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and from appearing as separate characters in eight different episodes of The Bill. It was announced in November 2023 that the star was to appear in EastEnders with the character set to appear for an episode to coincide with the death of actor Anna Karen, who played Aunt Sal.
