Šaka, potažmo Čaka, v Evropě známý i jako generál Shaka nebo pod přezdívkou Černý Napoleon, byl významný africký vojevůdce, náčelník a sjednotitel Zuluů. Svého postavení dosáhl díky rozsáhlým a účelným vojenským reformám a brutální výbojné politice. Šaka je dodnes pokládán za jednoho z největších a nejschopnějších vůdců v dějinách Afriky, kterému se díky zavedení reformy domorodého válečného umění podařilo vybudovat vojenský stát, jenž se prosadil jako obávaná regionální mocnost.
