Originál: (en) Historic buildings, like businesses, often demand an entrepreneurial approach. Those who see them principally as a burden are of two types. One is the speculator, the developer who wishes to be rid of them for financial gain. The other is the administrator, who grudges the time and money absorbed in looking after older buildings or who lacks the expertise, advice or imagination to see how they could be adapted in a practical and economic way. Both types are often obsessed by the idea that a new building replacing the old one will somehow be magically maintenance-free.
