Neville Chamberlain byl britský státník, člen Konzervativní strany a premiér. Nejznámějším se stal uplatňováním appeasementu v zahraniční politice a roku 1938 podpisem Mnichovské dohody, která uznala nárok na oblast Sudet v Československu nacistickému Německu. Poté, co Německo pokračovalo ve své agresivní politice, vyhlásil mu 3. září 1939 válku a vedl Británii v prvních osmi měsících druhé světové války.
