Instead the Jews adapted a sharp mind, agility, submissiveness toward others, and patience, cowardice, and timidity in relation to neighbors and rulers. This Jewish behavior resulted in a tendency to rely on miracles, as Jews lacked either confidence or self-motivation to improve their situations.
