Alexander Maclaren citáty

Alexander Maclaren byl anglický protestantský kazatel skotského původu.

Dvakrát byl prezidentem Baptistické unie Spojeného království a předsedou Baptistického světového kongresu v Londýně v roce 1905. Dostal čestný doktorát teologie z Edinburské univerzity a z univerzity Glasgowě.

Z jeho díla stojí za zmínku rozsáhlé komentáře k některým biblickým knihám - například k Lukášovu evangeliu, Žalmům a proroctvím Izaiáše a Jeremiáše. Komentáře se skládají z kratších částí - kázání a komentářů k jednotlivým veršům - například komentář k oddílu Římanům 12:9-10 tvoří kázání Láska, která dokáže nenávidět.
